Some Large Brands I've Worked for
A Few Things About Me
Community Builder:
As as community builder, I go by the philosophy that these community groups requires trust and trust must be earned not demanded. I do believe that when the people in a community feel at home and valued, they will engage in interaction with the brand and also with one another. The wealth of a community is in the quality of interaction and contents being circulated around and I have seen online communities come and go based on what is being produced and put out there. I've helped different brands set up an online environment to engage fans and prospects to building up structures for a meetup page, |
Not Looking For Just a Job:
I'm looking for something I can look forward to waking up each morning, a place where I can be proud of being part of, where my contributions count and is making a difference in the outcomes of the business. I've worked in large organizations like the government agencies and large non-profits before where the benefits are great but moved on because they did not move at a pace I would like to work at. With a passion for innovation and problem solving, I am passionate about introducing people and organizations to the latest innovations and solutions that can help them get things done and done very well. |
Data Geek and Loves to Challenge the Status Quo
I am a fan of data and analytics. Working with excel and datatables I allow my curiosity to seek out trends and identify opportunities for growth. Whether it is growing the open rate for the monthly newsletters or increasing the click through rate of a PPC ad, I try to make it a personal goal to optimize the results by creating hypothesis, testing it out, reporting them and scaling it up. |
Life Long Learner and Seeker of Knowledge
The person who claims he knows everything is only a fool. I do believe that learning doesn't stop at graduation but it is a life long process. I am constantly reading up on blogs, forums (quora + reddit), wikipedia and loves attending webinars, conferences and TED talks. What's more important than knowledge is the application of knowledge. Whenever there is a challenge, I do believe that someone has figured out the problem and is sharing about it. Should the challenge be so new that there isnt an answer out there, this is where experimentation begins. |
My Marketing Philosophy
Some people think marketing is simply buying ads but I would beg to differ. I see marketing as a process similar to gardening. One must grow its trust with its audience before they can 'harvest'. People buy based on trust and the relationship with the brand they've connected with and this trust does not come overnight. It often requires the seller to invest in establishing itself as a trusted go to source before one would buy. Trust can be cultivated by being relevant, resourceful and familiar.
Like a gardener sowing seeds, a brand will have to get the word out with advertising and relevant messages. Like watering, cultivating and tending to the plant, a good marketing plan should ensure the fans are cared for by answering online inquiries, addressing negative yelp reviews in a timely manner, creating content schedules for social media and managing a frequent newsletter. With time and persistence, a sense of familiarity will develop over time where people will start recognizing the brand as a thought leader and a trusted authoritative resource. |
